Fun In The Sun!

The sun came out for the Wester Hailes Fun Run this year! There was some great competitive running at the front, but most people just enjoyed getting round the 5k route in the sunshine whether jogging or walking. You can see lots of photos on the Digital Sentinel. It was lovely to see tenants taking part, and many thanks to tenants who volunteered as route marshals on the day, and helped with the water station, the event would not be possible without you.

As a community-based housing association, we want to support activities and events that celebrate the local community we are proud to be part of. We are part of the Fun Run Planning Group and we are involved both in the lead up and in providing help on the day. The event is a great example of local partnership working, with a range of organisations working together to make sure that everything goes smoothly. The Planning Group also includes Harmeny AC, The Health Agency, Wester Hailes Community Trust, SCOREscotland, City of Edinburgh Council, WHALE Arts, Wester Hailes Growing Communities.
